Mary Katherine Adcock

Mary Katherine Pior Adcock was born July 23, 1922 in Crosbyton, TX to Edward Odem Pior and Ida Mae Glance Pior. She married Edward Adcock on December 17, 1941 and they had three daughters. Mary Katherine taught HeadStart in the Levelland school district and retired in 1984. She has been a member of the First Assembly of God church in Levelland since the age of 8 and taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was active in their Women’s Ministries.

She is survived by three daughters: Nelda Van Hoose of Plainview, TX; Beverly Adcock of Nashville, TN and Reba Pickrell of Lubbock, TX. She has three grandchildren: David Van Hoose, Patrick Van Hoose, and Rebecca Stephens. She has five great grandchildren: Austin Van Hoose, Alec DeVries, Hallie Van Hoose, Ella Stephens and Dax Stephens. She is also survived by two sisters: Monnie Franklin of Fort Worth, TX and Genevieve Vela of Bay City, TX and one brother, E.O. Pior, Jr. of Puyallup, Washington.

Visitation will be at George Price Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 6, at First Assembly of God church in Levelland with a graveside service immediately following.
