Mary Nobile Veretto

Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, TX., A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland, TX. with Father Rudy Crasta officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Lubbock, TX. A Prayer Vigil will be held at George Price Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Veretto was born in Montague, TX. on September 25, 1912, the daughter of Charlie and Catherine (Mara) Nobile.

Mary Nobile married John Veretto on February 27, 1937 in Montague, TX. Mary and John lived in Hockley and Lubbock Counties from 1937 until John’s death in 1993 when she moved to Arlington, TX. to live with her daughter and family. Mrs Veretto was active in the church and enjoyed working in her garden. She also enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by her daughter: Catherine Bednarz and her husband, Royce of Arlington, TX., one granddaughter: Cindy Trett and husband, Carl of Arlington, TX., one grandson: Craig Bednarz of Ropesville, TX. and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and a grandson, Chris Bednarz.
