Mildred Nadine Gage Ratliff

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the City of Levelland Cemetery with Reverend Merle Fulmer of Lubbock and Reverend Mike Holster of Levelland officiating. Professional services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home of Levelland, Texas.

Mildred was born on January 1, 1920 in Barling, Arkansas, to Idus and Alice Gage. She married Jake Ratliff on January 30, 1937. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1966. She was baptized at College Avenue Baptist Church in Levelland where she was a member. She worked for Furr’s Supermarket in Levelland for more than twenty years.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn McDougal (Delbert) of Lubbock; one son, Mickey Ratliff (Patty) of Levelland: three grandsons, Marc McDougal (Pam) of Lubbock Mike McDougal (Melissa) of Lubbock, and Matthew Ratliff (Katy) of Frisco; two grandaughters, Bonnie Shahan (Bryan) of Dallas, and Joli Gray (David) of Lubbock; seven great-grandchildren, Tara McDougal of Dallas, Tyler McDougal (Audra) of Lubbock, Brady and Brooke Shahan of Dallas, Tripp and Maggie Gray of Lubbock, and Hudson McDougal of Lubbock; one great-great-grandson,Tye McDougal of Lubbock; one brother, Jack Gage of Whitharral, and one sister, Mary Newell of Lubbock. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
