Nora Marie Wright

Funeral services for Nora Marie Wright were held Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 2 PM at College Avenue Baptist Church in Levelland. Burial followed at the City of Levelland Cemetery. Marie passed away in Lubbock on Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born in Pettit, Texas on February 24, 1930 to Alvin and Annie Riley. Marie graduated from Pettit High School. She married Kenneth Wright on June 17, 1950. Marie was a homemaker and a teacher’s aide for the Levelland school district. She was a charter member of College Avenue Baptist Church and affectionately known as Meme. Survivors include her sister, Jeanie Wyly; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cindy Wright; granddaughters, Paige Wright and Ashley Cross and husband, Cody; great-grandchildren, Eva Marie and Jacob James; and a host of nieces, friends and family.
