Olin Loyce Lewis

Services for Olin Loyce Lewis, 86, of Levelland will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at First Christian Church in Levelland. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 6-8 PM at George Price Funeral Home. Olin was born January 3, 1929 in Corsicana, Texas to William Alvie and Verna LaVasse (Buck) Lewis. He attended Whiteface High School and Cisco Junior College. He married Gwen Waddell on December 24, 1949 in Cisco, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 28, 2009, after 59 years of marriage. Olin served in the United States Marine Corp from 1946-1952. He was a long time cotton farmer in Cochran County. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Gwen Morrison; son, Gregg Allen Lewis ; grandchildren, Jennifer Nemeth, Justin Lewis, Milo Lewis, Lance Coffman, Mike Morrison, and Zachary Morrison; and great-grandchildren, Brooke Nemeth, Seth Nemeth, Keely Coffman and Montana Coffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughter Dianna Morrison, and siblings Alviree Hestand and Bernice Barham, and Herman Lewis.
