Raymond Garland Gunn

Raymond Gunn went to be with his Lord on August 4, 2015 at the age of 90. He was born June 3, 1925 in Flomot, Texas to B.W. (Boots) and Altie Gunn. After graduation from high school, Raymond was drafted into the Army and was deployed overseas during WWII where he served as a mortar gunner. During his enlistment, he married Mary Yvonne Martin on July 31, 1944, and they were married for 71 years. He was a farmer in the Levelland and Smyer area for many years. He enjoyed restoring old tractors, coffee with his buddies and spending time with his family. He was a member of the 13th & K Church of Christ. Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary Yvonne; daughters, Judy and husband Rick Rogers of Levelland and Pat and husband Carl Porter of Seymour; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the George Price Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the New Mexico Children’s Home in Por-tales, New Mexico.
