

Services for Robbie Fern Fullerton will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 3 pm in the George Price Funeral Chapel, with Michael Holster officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 5 pm to 7 pm at George Price Funeral Home.
Robbie Fern Hollingsworth was born Marcy 27, 1925 to Robert Dozier Hollingsworth and Florence (Ferguson) Hollingsworth in Montgomery County, Arkansas. Fern passed away to her Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2014 with her family members at her bedside at Levelland Nursing Home and Rehab.
She survived her two husbands. She married Coll L. “Squeaky” Wilson in Lubbock on October 26, 1946. She was married to Murray A. “Curly” Fullerton in Levelland on November 27, 1978.
In addition to her role as mother and wife, she devoted a good number of years to P.T.A., beginning with Lubbock I.S.D. for Wolffarth Elementary and continuing with Levelland I.S.D. In the decade of the late 1950s and early 1960’s, she was designated as a P.T.A. representative to the City of Levelland City Council concerning any School issues for the City’s governing body. She also was active, or enjoyed participation with the Hockley County Senior Citizens and Hockley County Food Box.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church at the time of her passing. She had been a previous member of First Baptist Church Levelland. She joined the congregation of Second Baptist on Sunday, January 11, 1987. She retired from nursing at Methodist (Covenant) Hospital in Lubbock about two years following her marriage to Mr. Fullerton. In total her nursing career spanned 18 ½ years, beginning at the former Levelland Hospital and Clinic on Austin Street in 1963. In previous years, Fern worked for Mr. Boyer Chisum at Chisum Drug on the corner of Austin Street and Avenue G. Years later she also was General Manager of Spudnut Shop locations owned by Doug and Dorothy Ratcliff of Levelland.
Mrs. Fullerton is survived by her four children, Elmer L. Wilson of Albuquerque. Delmer L. Wilson of Lubbock, Audrey Culpepper of Lubbock and Thomas Wilson of Levelland, She was “Granny” to Jason Culpepper of Lubbock, Stacy White of Lubbock, Stephanie Edwards of Lubbock and Aaron Wilson of Snyder. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Mason Hunter, Laurel White, Layden White, McKenna Edwards, Emilee Culpepper, Ethan Culpepper and Madden Edwards. She is also survived by her brother Lloyd Hollingsworth and wife Ruth of Anchorage and sister Alma Jo Carey of Colorado.
Her strength of character, her unwavering love for others and concern for her community will always be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any type of support to the Texas Tech Health Sciences Department for Alzheimer’s Research.
