Robert Bobby R. (Bobby) Kauffman

Funeral services for Robert R. (Bobby) Kauffman, 81, of Levelland will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at George Price Chapel with Rev. Jay Macha officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. He died Sept. 14, 2012.

Born on Feb. 16, 1931 in Liberty Hill, Texas to A.J. and Annie Kauffman, he moved to Levelland with his family in 1933. He married Twilla June Wade on Oct. 20, 1951 in Roosevelt County, N.M. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was an active and lifelong farmer throughout Hockley County. He was a member of several local and regional agricultural organizations and boards of directors in the 1960s-80s.

Survivors include a son, Steve Kauffman of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Stacey Derr and her husband Rick of Lubbock, Texas; and two grandchildren, Alexandra and Alyssa of Lubbock; brothers Roy Kauffman of Phoenix, Ariz.; James Kauffman of Duncanville, Texas; Raymond Kauffman of Levelland, and Butch Kauffman of Friendswood, Texas; and two sisters Patsy Holland of Soldotna, Alaska, and Helen Kauffman of Greenwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Douglas Kauffman, Jeff Kauffman Jr. and Dorothy McElroy.

Pallbearers will be Mike Kauffman, Darin Kauffman, Sean Kauffman, Bobby Darrell Kauffman, Hoyt Taggart,Kenny Shipley, Cody Kauffman and Leo Torrez.
