Roy Barrera Jr.

Funeral services for Roy Barrera, Jr., 34, of Levelland will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, at South Plains Church, Levelland, Texas with Pastor Eddie Trice, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. He died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas.

Roy was born on October 24, 1978 in Levelland to Roy Barrera and Elva Zuniga. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1997 and then received his Associates Degree from South Plains College. He also attended Texas Tech. Until his illness, he had worked as a draftsman for Hugo Reed Company.

Survivors include his father: Roy Barrera Sr. of Levelland, his mother, Elva Misquez of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters: Betty Irvin of Dallas, Texas; Dora Bueno of Mesquite and Eudolia Braddock of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers: Oscar Huerta of Lubbock, Texas and Josue Murillo of El Paso, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Barrera.
