Ruth Lee Johnson

Graveside Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas and will be held at the City of Levelland Cemetery at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 20, 2011 with Reverend Monty Hilliard officiating.

Ruth was born on May 28, 1922 in Oklahoma, the daugh-ter of Evalina (Denison) Johnson. She was always sewing or knitting some kind of clothing. She was an avid maker of doll clothes. She enjoyed reading and putting together 1,000 piece puzzles. She was a member of Quaker Avenue Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas, and will be sorely missed by her church family. She had served as a missionary to Alaska. Ruth was a house parent for several years at Texas Children’s Home.

She is survived by one niece, Ann Jackson of Wolfforth, Texas, two grandsons, Robert and William Baugh, both of Arkansas, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Linda Fisher and two brothers:

John Johnson and Mackey Johnson.
