Shirley Ellen Lane Dennis

Memorial services for Shirley Dennis, 71, of Levelland, Texas will be 2:00pm, Saturday, November 28, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas with Dr. Sammy Elliott, pastor, officiating. Cremation services are under direction of George Price Funeral Home. She died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Covenant Hospital, Levelland.Born on July 13, 1937 at Okemah, Oklahoma to Albert Wilburn and Eva Jo Mitchell Lane, she moved to Levelland in 1970 from Midland, Texas. While in Midland, she worked as a Kelly Girl. After moving to Levelland, she worked at the Chat n Chew Restaurant and the Spot Restaurant. She then worked as a teacher’s aid at West Elementary and worked with the Migrant program. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Levelland where she taught Sunday School. Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Mark Dennis in 2001 and also by her parents.Survivors include, three daughters: Binky Woodell of Whitney, Texas, Bridgette Barry of Levelland, Texas and Sabrina McNatt of Flower Mound, Texas, two brothers, Justin Lane of Levelland, Texas and Jack Lane of Seminole, Texas; two sisters Mary Jo Howell of Big Spring, Texas and Suzanne Harrison of Lubbock, Texas; and ten grandchildren.Please join us in celebrating Shirley’s life at www.georgepricefunerals.com
