We went camping with Stella at least 2 summers. Once we went to Durango and the second summer we went to Santa Fe. I have this slide of Stella standing in a wagon by a wooden Indian immitating him. She loved to have fun and laugh. I know Mom missed her when she moved away from Spade. I am glad I had an opportunity to know this special woman.

Stella was a delightful person. When I was working on an article about her and Carl and their long trip across the country in the Model A pickup to get their new Scamp trailer, Stella met with me and Carl at the shop to recall memories and for them to share pictures for the article. She had a sparkle in her eyes when she recalled the many trips she and Carl made all over the country. May God comfort you, Carl and Norm, and all of the rest of the Freeman family.
