William Parish Boggs

Funeral services for William P. Boggs, 90, of Levelland will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at George Price Funeral Chapel with Dr. Sammy Elliott, pastor, First Baptist Church, Levelland, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. He died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Levelland.

Born on October 11, 1920 to Gilbert Henderson and Myrtle Orr Boggs, he was a longtime, Levelland resident. He married Vila Lee Barnes in 1950 in McCaulley, Texas.

He is survived by five sons: Dan Boggs and his wife, Jan, Gilbert Boggs and his wife, Sandra and Joe Boggs and his wife, Tracy; all of Levelland, Bobby Boggs of Possum Kingdom, Texas; and Billy Boggs and his wife, Carolyn of Poolville, Texas, eleven grandchildren;and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife,Vila, one brother, Harold Boggs and a sister, Elizabeth Ragsdale.
