Albert F. Myers Sr.

Albert F. Myers Sr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the age of 76.Born in Philadelphia, Albert was a long time resident of Lower Bucks County. Since his retirement, he has resided in Thornhurst, PA.Until his retirement in 1997, Albert was a letter carrier with the US Post Office at Fairless Hills. After his retirement, he was a part time Bus Driver in the North Pocono School District until December, 2017.He proudly served in the US Navy and as a Sgt. Major in the US Army. Albert was a member of the American Legion Post 772 in Shamokin.He enjoyed a good round of golf and was an avid train collector.Albert is the loving father of Albert F. Jr. (Sheri), Freda Phillips (Paul), Kelly Borelli, and Michelle Myers.He will also be sadly missed by his 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, James Myers; sister-in-law, Linda Myers; and many nieces and nephews.Albert was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Griese) and Joseph Myers, and his brothers, Joseph and Robert Myers.Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 27, 2018, 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, followed by the Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. There will be no calling hours on Thursday morning.
