Alice Ruth Kalbach

Alice Ruth Kalbach Alice Ruth Kalbach (nee Engle) died on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 82. Mrs. Kalbach was a Levittown resident from 1955 until 2002, prior to moving to Wood River Village. She was a 1950 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. Early in her career, she worked at Abington and Lower Bucks Hospitals. Until her retirement, Mrs. Kalbach was employed with the Pennsbury School District from 1960 until 1990 as a School Nurse. After her retirement, she was a volunteer in the Admissions Department for Saint Mary Medical Center for 9 years. Mrs. Kalbach was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter, Reading, PA. Beloved wife of the late Martin, Mrs. Kalbach is survived by her loving son, Marty and his wife, Marlene of Langhorne. She was the devoted grandmother of Russell and Drew of Philadelphia. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces, Gayle Shemwick of Tennessee and Glenna Iannotti of Florida and her nephew, Jim Warholic of Connecticut. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 6:00 until 7:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where her Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
