Allan Samuel Kass Sr,

Allan Samuel Kass Sr., of Bensalem passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was 81.Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Kass has been a resident of Bensalem for many years.He was a "jack of all trades" and "go-getter" who held various jobs throughout his career including the owner and operator of the former 447 Lounge in Kensington, Marty's Auto Repair in Frankford and Al's Pizza in Bensalem.He loved traveling with his wife and especially taking trips to the Shore where he enjoyed walking the Boardwalk. Al was always the life of the party and will fondly be remembered for his laughter and great sense of humor. Mr. Kass was the high school sweetheart and beloved husband of Maryanne (Lascoskie) for 63 years.He was the loving father of Cheryl Hamilton (Mike), Marianne Kass , Nancy Brogden (Dan Hanlon) and the late Allan S. Kass Jr.He was the devoted grandfather of Heather, Tommy, Ryan (Heather), Sammi (Christopher), Brittany, Allan III, Jimmy (Melanie) and Joey (Theresa) and great grandfather of Hunter, Joseph, Allyn, Killian, Tristan, Lucas and Owen.He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 of his siblings and is survived by one brother Ronald Kass (Louise) as well as many nieces and nephews.Family and friends may call Wednesday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay St., Newtown, PA 18940.
