

Alvin A. Buben Alvin A. Buben, age 89, of Levittown, died on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Buben was a resident of Levittown since 1963. He was a former Special Agent with the F.B.I. and was a retired Chief of Security for US Steel, Fairless Works. Mr. Buben was an honorably discharged veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a life time member of Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association and the SE Police Chiefs Association. He was a life time member and Past President of the Police Chiefs Association of Bucks County and of Mid Eastern Pennsylvania. Mr. Buben was a fourth degree, honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council #4215, the Elks and Moose Lodges and the American Legion. Mr. Buben is the beloved husband of 52 years to the late Helen L. (Thomas) and the loving father of the late Claudia Mullholland and Michael Buben. He is survived by his devoted children, Jeffrey A. Buben and his wife, Sallie of Fairfax, VA and Charles M. Buben and his wife, Linda of Yardley. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Sarah, John Alexander, Alexander John, Thomas McLean, Lauren; his great granddaughter, Riley Kate; his brothers, Arthur Buben of Philadelphia and Arnold Buben of Maple Glenn, PA and several nieces. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Rite of Commitall will be held privately. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Southeastern PA, One Valley Square, 512 Township Line Road, Suite 133, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
