Alvin M. CrouseAlvin M. "Tubby" Crouse died on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 76.Born in Pittsburgh, Tubby was a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County and a former resident of Jupiter, FL for several years.He was a Past Grand Exalted Ruler for the Elks of Jupiter, Florida.Tubby retired from US Steel, where he spent his career working as an electrician.He was a great and loving father who loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved his car and also enjoyed playing basketball, the gym and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.Beloved husband of the late Sandra Jean (Kimble), Tubby was the loving father of George (Tracey), Cathleen, Eugene and Christopher (Noreen) Crouse.He was the devoted grandfather of Christina, Melinda, Kenny, Taylor Mae, Miranda and Caliana; proud great grandfather of 8; and brother of Dolly, Art (Dee) and Janie (Michael).He will also be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Suzanne, Helen, Ann and Arlene; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.Tubby was predeceased by his 2 sons, Alvin M. II and Craig; his granddaughter, Jerrica Lynn Michniewicz; his parents, Anna (Delowski) and Arthur Crouse; and his brothers, Gerald, Kenneth and Judd.Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, Penndel. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tubby's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
