Ann A. Burns

Ann A. Burns Ann A. (Rodowicz) Burns of Levittown died on Monday, October 31, 2011, at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. She was 76. Born in Philadelphia to Anthony and Catherine (Posivak) Rodowicz, Ann moved to Levittown with her family in 1991. She was a member of the Merion Community of the Sisters of Mercy and served as Sister Catherine Mary, RSM from 1952 to 1959. Ann was the beloved and devoted wife of 49 years to Richard W. Burns, the loving mother of Kathryn Ann, Richard A. and the late Debra Ann (2010). She was the proud grandmother of Veronica Ann and Stefanie Vallery Pfeiffer, Michael and Mark Burns, and the late Matthew Thomas Burns. She was the dear sister of Patricia Ann Kershaw. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 9:30 until 11:00 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Ann's memory to the Sisters of Mercy, 515 Montgomery Avenue, Merion Station, PA 19006.
