Born on December 6, 1952, in Philadelphia, Arnie lived a life marked by dedication to his work, loyalty to his family, and a deep love for adventure.
A proud graduate of Lincoln High School, Arnie was an active student-athlete who competed on both the track and football teams. His strong work ethic and team spirit carried into his professional life. He began his career as a truck driver with the Teamsters union, an occupation that reflected his passion for the open road, and later became a respected union foreman for the drywall finishers. Arnie took great pride in his work and in standing shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow tradespeople.
Arnie’s presence was unmistakable, he had a gift for lighting up any room he entered. Known as the life of the party, he was quick with a laugh, always ready with a story or a helping hand. Whether tackling one of his own projects or lending his time and skills to others, Arnie believed in doing things right and showing up when it mattered most.
He found joy in many pursuits outside of work. An avid outdoorsman, Arnie loved fishing and hunting. Summers were often spent with Charlotte at their cherished place in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, where they enjoyed the ocean breeze and time with family and friends. He also had a passion for travel, especially by motorcycle or RV. One of his favorite adventures was visiting Sturgis on his bike. In the colder months, he and Charlotte would head south in his RV to spend winters in Fort Myers, Florida and Yuma, Arizona, where they made so many memories with great friends from across the country.
Arnie was deeply involved in several organizations that reflected his values of service and fellowship. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion, Legion Riders, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his father Arnold W.; and his brother Frank (Hope). He was predeceased by his mother Jane.
He shared many years of marriage with his devoted wife Charlotte, building a blended family that brought him great joy. Arnie was a proud father to Kristen and her husband Derek, and to Justin and his wife Melissa. He also embraced his role as stepfather to Kristina and Robert. Though predeceased by his stepson Charles, Arnie’s love for all his children remained steadfast throughout his life.
Arnie found immense pride in being a grandfather. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Michael, Kelsey, Robert, Hannah, Kaycee, Ethan, Jaxon, and Aurora. Each held a special place in his heart.
Arnie’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. May his memory bring a smile to those who knew him.
