Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Grace Eleanor (Yost) and Ray S. Knittle, Barbara has been a life long resident of Lower Bucks County and was a 1963 graduate of Neshaminy High School.
In 1985, she began working for the Lower Bucks YMCA. Barbara was extremely proud to work for, and be a part of this wonderful organization. She loved that she could give back to her community. She retired as Controller after over 30 years of service.
Barbara enjoyed gardening and RV camping. She also loved traveling and going on road trips. She was a passionate Phillies and Eagles fan. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, and she tried to convey that to her children and grandchildren with many surprises, great treats and wonderful meals.
Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Barbara was the true head of her family. She would do anything, go anywhere, drop everything to make sure her family was taken care of and felt important.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas C., Barbara is the loving mother of Jaime Barron and Dana Ulrich (Jason); and the devoted Mom Mom of Lorelei, Jolan and Lucas.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Janet Knittle and Armella Vergantino; her many cherished nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends.
