Barbara Joan Norman

Beloved Barbara Joan Norman, 86, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 13, 1938, in Harrisburg, Barbara dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother and wife.

Barbara married her late husband, Ray Norman, in 1957. Together they created a beautiful family with 7 children. Barbara dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home for her children and husband. She also spent many years working at Columbia Records. One of Barbara’s many passions were to explore the East Coast which was done by moving frequently. Her family often joked with her over her free-spirited ways. Eleven years ago, Barbara settled down in Fairless Hills, Pa. During this time her greatest joys were spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, and feeding the wildlife that would visit her daily.

Barbara is survived by her children Belinda Norman, Elaine Norman, Kenneth Norman, Tina Norman, Joan O’Leary, Thomas Gittinger, her 16 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her grandmother; husband Ray; and stepdaughter Maxine.

Services for Barbara will be private.
