Born in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late John and Frances Robinson, Barbara was a lifelong area resident. She spent many years caring for others and worked as an administrative assistant.
In her free time, Barbara enjoyed going to concerts and watching sports. She loved spending time outdoors in the sun, gardening, swimming, and horseback riding. Her favorite place in the world was Hillsgrove, Pennsylvania, where she could float and swim in the Loyalsock creek.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Chester F. Sokolowski. Barbara is survived by her children, Jackie Sokolowski, and Butch Sokolowski and his wife, Melissa De Leon, and “adopted” son, Christopher Hill; as well as her granddaughter, Harper Sage.
Barbara also loved animals, especially her two cats, Bryce and Groot.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown PA.
