Barbara A. Wert

Born and raised in Shamokin, Mrs. Wert resided in Philadelphia for several years before moving to Croydon in the early 1950's. She was a member of Wilkinson Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wert graduated from Allentown School of Nursing and spent most of her career as a registered nurse at Lower Bucks Hospital until retiring in 1985.

Barbara loved to crochet, but mostly she cherished the times spent with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Lamar Wert, Sr. Mrs. Wert was the loving mother of Mark J. Wert (Donna), Marion Barron (Matthew) and the late Lamar Wert, Jr..

She was the devoted grandmother of Matthew Barron Jr., Barbara Jean Barron (Mike), Mark Wert Jr. (Kim), Brian Wert (Colleen) and Timothy Wert (Kristi) and the great grandmother of 8.

She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Barbara's family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice, including Doug and Carolyn, for their compassionate care.

Services will be private.
