Betty Jane Parsons

Born in Van Voorhis, PA to the late George and Julia Lomago, Sr. and formerly of Monongalela, where she attended Monongahela High School. She has resided in Levittown since 1963 and was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church for over 30 years.

For many years, Betty was employed with Newtown Law School Services. She will be remembered as a fabulous cook and baker but her greatest love was her family.

Betty was very proud of her Slovakian roots and for being part of the first generation of her family born in the United States.

She was the beloved wife for 61 years of Thomas C. ('TP') and loving mother of Kimberly Scanlon (John) and James Parsons (Bonnie). She wa s the devoted Buba (grandmother) of Lindsay Workman (Dave), Jaime Jannotta (Dante), Megan Bradish (Scott), Jessica, Rory and Erin Scanlon; and the proud great grandmother of Makayla, Giuliana, Carter, Emilee, Ava, Dante, Quinn and Ben.

Born 1 of 11 children, Betty is also survived by her brothers, Steve Lomago (Joann) of Johnstown, PA and Frank Lomago (Judi) of Monongahela, PA. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, with a Panachida at 8:00 pm, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, 10:00 am at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 1314 Randall Avenue, Levittown, PA 19057. Interment will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, PA.
