Carole A. Caputo

Carole A. Caputo passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Chandler Hall in Newtown.Born, raised and educated in Chestnut Hill, PA, the daughter of Anastatia (Lawlor) and Andrew McCrea, Mrs. Caputo was an original Levittown homeowner and raised her four children there.She was a former member of Saint Ephrem Parish, Bensalem, where she had resided prior to moving to Fairless Hills in 2007.  She was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish.Mrs. Caputo was employed with the former Eastern State School and Hospital for over 25 years, until retiring in 1990.She was an avid reader and loved gardening. Mrs. Caputo was the loving mother of Michael Caputo (Denise), Maryanne Bennett, Richard Caputo (Sheila) and Karen A. Petzold (Michael).She was the devoted grandmother of 10; great grandmother of 7; and the sister of Mary Monahan, Jean Thorsten, Anna Walsh; Eleanor Borigini and Barbara McCrea.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 8:30 until 9:30 at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Nutrition Program, Bucks County Area Agency on Aging, 30 E. Oakland Ave., Doylestown, PA 18901 to support Meals on Wheels.
