

Catherine A. Conklin Catherine (Kay) A. Conklin of Levittown, died peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2013. She was 93. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the fourth of five daughters of Frank Speth and Elizabeth (Gibbons) Speth. Her life was her family and her Church. Kay was a daily communicant at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Fallsington and for many years led the daily Rosary before Mass and was a former member of the parish choir. She was also a founding member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapter of the Blue Army which meets at St. John the Evangelist in Morrisville. Although, not Polish, Kay was a former member of the English Mass Choir and volunteer at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown for many years. She was the loving wife of the late James J. Conklin and the devoted mother of Eileen McGinnis (Bob), Colleen Fischer (Jeff), Peter Conklin (Joan), Kerry Conklin (Sharman) and Nora Kugler (Bryan) and Janet Groome, who she loved as a daughter. She was the cherished Nana of John Worthington (Linda), Joseph Worthington (Kelly), Andrew Fischer (Jessica), Matthew Fischer, Carianne Beaudet (Tom), Sean Sanderford (Elaine), Greg Sanderford (Kristen), Daniel Sanderford, Kevin Sanderford, Christopher Conklin (Emily), Ryan Conklin, Casey Conklin (Heather), Brendan Conklin, Kevin Conklin, Ian Conklin, Nickolaus Conklin (Gabrielle), Bryan Kugler, Meghan Kugler, Colin Kugler and Erin Kugler and the great-Nana of Alyssa and Amanda Worthington, Sadie Fischer, Justin Lamb, Elena, Brittany and Madison Beaudet, Damian Starsnick, Christopher Marrare, Gianna Marrare, Allison VanHook, Brianna and Cody Sanderford, Abigail, Connor and Madeline Conklin, Mason Conklin, and Owen Conklin. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Marie Clyne and her nieces, Lori Miner and Nancy Clyne, and her nephews, Jack McDougall and Steven McCaffrey. Kay was predeceased by her sisters Agnes McDougall, Elizabeth Callahan, Margaret Hickey and her daughters, Kathleen Sanderford and Maureen Worthington. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Road, Fallsington, PA 19054, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Rite of Committal for Kay and also her daughter, Maureen Worthington, who died on Monday, January 4, 2013, will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks to Kay's doctors, Jeffery Blumenthal and Bindu Kansupada, for their many years of care, as well as the nurses at St. Mary Medical Center, especially Tara. We wish to thank most of all God, our Father, who blessed us with a beautiful and faith-filled mother.
