Charles W. CahillCharles W. "Bud" Cahill went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 19, 2016. He was 78.Born in Philadelphia and raised in Bristol Township, Bud has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and a former Council Member of Penndel Boro.Bud was a 1956 graduate of Delhaas High School and of Trenton State College.He served in the US Navy from 1956 until 1959 and then in the Naval Reserves from 1959 until 1962.Bud was employed in the Steel Industry as a sales representative with many companies, including, Fox Iron Works, Morris Wheeler, Cherry Steel, O'Rourke Steel and Keystone Welding and Fabrication. He was self-employed until his retirement in 2000.Bud was an avid sports enthusiast. He was a former coach with Penndel and Middletown Township Little League. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing.Beloved husband of 53 years to Jean (McGinnis), Bud is the loving father of David (Robin), Dennis and Daniel Cahill and Suzanne (Scott) Molle.He is the devoted grandfather of Christopher, Julianne, Brendan, Shannon, Scott, Ryan, Kelli and Megan and proud great grandfather of Brayden, Kaylee and Allyson.Bud will also be sadly missed by his brother Robert Cahill (Ann) and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy (Roberts) and John Cahill; his son-in-law Detective Christopher Jones; and his daughter-in-law, Christine (Stone) Cahill.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 3:00 until 5:00 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where his memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Detective Christopher Jones Foundation, Inc., PO Box 7142, Langhorne, PA 19047.
