

Charles R. Forester, Jr. Charles R. Forester, Jr., age 88, of Fairless Hills, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Manor Care in Yardley. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of the late Charles R. and Elizabeth (Merideth) Forester, he was an original homeowner and resident of Fairless Hills since 1954 and was a member of Emmaus Road Lutheran Church. Mr. Forester was employed in the National Tube Division of U.S. Steel Fairless Works for 28 years until his retirement in 1981. Mr. Forester was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post #960; of the Fairless Hills Masonic Lodge 776; of the VFW Post #6393 of Yardley; and of the Elks Lodge #2023. He played country music at various local establishments with his band, "Green Valley Boys". Beloved husband of 68 years of Annamae L. Forester (Moser), Mr. Forester was the loving father of Ronald A. (Patricia) of Fairless Hills Daniel C. (Luanne)of Fairless Hills, James R. (Michelle) of Yardley, and Bruce E. (Christine) of Langhorne. He was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Eugene Forester. Mr. Forester was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers: Jenita Reed, Armeda Brosche, Geraldine Warner, William H. Forester and Robert Forester. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA and on Monday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Emmaus Road Lutheran Church, 520 Hood Boulevard, Fairless Hills where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
