

Charles "Chal" Malloy, aged 60, passed away on July 30, 2025, in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Born on July 31, 1964, in Philadelphia, he lived a life marked by resilience and dedication to his loved ones.
Chal was a carpet installer by profession, where he contributed to beautifying the homes of many. His passion for music was evident, particularly in his tenure as a drummer, which continued to resonate through his habitual tapping and drumming on surfaces, a testament to his ever-present love for rhythm.
A man of notable strength, his personal journey was one of courage and overcoming challenges. Chal emerged and became a steadfast presence in his family's life. His unconditional support for his family was unwavering. Chal will be remembered for his fun trips to air shows and cherished moments as a grandfather, treating his grandchildren to meals out and playful times at the playground.
Chal's beat will carry on through his son, Ryan; daughter, Rochelle; and grandchildren, Nijah, Benjamin, Esmeralda, Damien, and Brian Jr. He was a beloved brother to Yvonne (Walt) Matienko and Ed Coe. His extended family, including nieces, nephews, and friends, will also hold his memory dear.
A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM with a service to follow at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA.
