It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Charles H. Manion (Chuck), who peacefully passed away at the age of 70 on March 4, 2025, surrounded by his family.
A long-time resident of Bucks County, Chuck was born in South Philadelphia to Martha and Charles J. Manion. He graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1973. It was at Pennsbury where he met his cherished wife, Donna, with whom he reconnected many years later and went on to marry in 2014.
Chuck was an unassuming, hardworking man of great integrity. For 37 years, he worked as a saw operator for Delaware Valley Box and Lumber in Hamilton Township, NJ, in addition to operating his own business, Manion Lawn Service and Landscaping, a fixture in the community since the early 1990s. He was also a member of the Fallsington United Methodist Church, where he served as a Trustee.
Known for his jovial attitude and positive outlook, Chuck loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, exploring antique shops, and taking long drives to nowhere with Donna. He was also a dedicated fan of the Phillies and cherished many years of family vacations at the beach in the Outer Banks. Proud of his South Philly roots and Italian heritage, Chuck carried those with him throughout his life.
Chuck was a devoted and fiercely supportive father. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his children, and he never hesitated to tell them how proud they made him. Later in life, he became a fun-loving grandpop, enjoying many roller coaster rides with his beautiful granddaughter, Gaia. He was a good man with a big heart who possessed a quiet strength, warmth, compassion, and a strong work ethic that will live on in those who knew him.
Chuck is now reunited with his parents, Martha and Charlie, his brother, Jim Manion, Stephen Campolongo, and so many others he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children Leanne and Skitch Manion; Bill Farris and his wife, Kristen; granddaughter Gaia Campolongo; and his dogs, Jack and Caroline.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10 am until 12 noon at Fallsington United Methodist Church, 50 Lacrosse Street, Fallsington, PA, 19054, followed by a memorial service at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Chuck’s memory to one of the following organizations:
