

Charles J. Pondolph Charles J. "Chuck" Pondolph died, with his loving family by his side, on Monday, January 6, 2014, at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 78. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Chuck was an original homeowner in Middletown Township for the past 58 years. He was also an original, faithful member, of Queen of the Universe Parish, Levittown, where he formerly served as an Usher. Chuck was a truck driver and member of Local 107 in Philadelphia for many years, until his retirement in 1994. After retiring, he was employed as a part time driver for Allied Limo Service in Penndel. Chuck was a Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing cards with the many members of the Middletown Senior Center. He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan. Most important in Chuck's life, was time spent with his entire family, including his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also had a great love for his late dog, Tiffany. Chuck was preceded in death by his stepfather, Andrew Ciaramella and his mother, Julia Martin Ciaramella. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Rita E. (Barbuscia); his children: Susan Rennie (John) of Cape May Court House, NJ, Rose Jones (Bart) of Buckingham, Rita Foley (Tom) of Langhorne and Angela Pondolph of Levittown; his grandchildren: John (Adrienne), Jason, and Monica Rennie, Samantha, Bart Jr. and Travis Jones, Tommy Jr., Andrew and Danny Foley; his 2 great grandsons, Lawson and Declan; his sister, Agnes Pettinicchi and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, from 10:00 until 11:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. The funeral procession will form on the lot of the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, on Monday at 9:30 am for the Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 506. Rockville, MD 20852-3929 or to the charity of donor's choice.
