Charles H. Rau died suddenly on Saturday, January 16, 2010. He was 53. Born and raised in Philadelphia, the son of Clara K. (Cordus) and the late Edward Rau, he was a long time resident of the city. A ten year resident of Levittown, Charles was a member of Queen of the Universe Church. He was an avid fisherman. Charles is the husband of 6 years of Peggy A. (Elliott) and the loving father of Adam C., Samantha M. and Haley A. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Bill and his wife, Carol, his aunt, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 8:30 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown 19056. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, Levittown. Entombment will follow in Lawn View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Rau children's Educational Trust Fund, payable to Peggy Rau, c/o James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., at the above address.
