Cheryl Walker

Cheryl was born on October 13, 1968, in Bristol, PA and is the daughter of William "Mickey" Rearick and Grace Solt Rearick. She graduated from Harry S. Truman High School in 1986 and then went on to receive her cosmetology license from the state of Pennsylvania and then worked as a certified cosmetologist and hairdresser for over 20 years.

Cheryl married David Schatzley on August 4, 2013 in Hamilton, Ohio at Headwaters Church with Ernie and Velena Durbin officiating.

Cheryl was very fond of plants and gardens and regularly could be found tending to them and growing and nurturing new plants. She loved her grandkids deeply and always enjoyed spending time with them.

As Cheryl became older, she found a deeper and greater faith in Jesus Christ and re-committed herself to living her life as a spirit filled born again Christian. She attended Restoration Church in Levittown, PA, where she participated in various small groups and especially loved to cook for church shared meals and for her family.

Preceding Cheryl in death was her mother, Grace Solt Rearick; her father, William "Mickey" Rearick; and brothers, Paul "Sonny" Rearick and Brian Rearick.

She leaves behind her husband of 17 years, David Schatzley; her sons, Edward D. Rivera Jr. and Michael Rivera and his wife, Heaven Griffiths. Cheryl will also be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren, Keirah Rivera and Nova Rivera from Hamilton, Ohio; Leigha, David and Jaelyn Griffiths-Rivera (David Jaelyn) in Morrisville, PA; as well as a great granddaughter, Maryella Rodriguez-Rivera from Hamilton, Ohio. She also leaves behind her siblings, Richard "Ricky" Rearick and Sandra "Sandy" Rearick.

Services for Cheryl will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10:00 until 11:00 m, followed by a funeral service, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056.
