Christina L. LaRue (nee Werts), 51, passed away on November 8, 2023 after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer, at Richboro Rehabilitation and Nursing Center surrounded by her family. She was a longtime resident of Morrisville, PA.
More affectionately known as Chrissy, she was born on December 9, 1971 in Trenton to parents Elaine Szymanski and Jack Werts, Sr. She graduated from McCorristin Catholic HS in 1990 and went on to work at NJ Manufacturers for many years before becoming a Medical Data Analyst. She was a huge Harry Potter fan and found joy in crafting and playing bingo with her mother. She loved to frequent Cape May with her son during the summer months.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her husband, R. David LaRue and her father, Jack Werts, Sr. She is survived by her loving son, Edward LaRue, who helped provide the necessary care to keep her comfortable up to the end; her mother, Elaine Szymanski; her brothers, Charles Werts and Jack Werts, Jr. along with his wife, Tracey Hazelton-Werts; half-brother Michael Werts; half-sister Megan Werts; her aunts and uncles Barbara and Edwin Keiffer and Edward and Jeanette Szymanski; mother and father-in-law Richard and Margaret LaRue; brothers and sisters-in-law Andrew and Barbara LaRue and Carolyn and Skinny Anderson; companion Joel Bicho; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and one great-nephew.
A viewing for Chrissy will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 66 Levittown Pkwy, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19054.
