

Christine Burke (nee Coia) died on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her home in Levittown. She was 94.Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Mrs. Burke moved to Bristol Township with her family in 1955. She was a deeply religious person and was a devoted member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish in Levittown.Until her retirement in 1988, Mrs. Burke was a Secretary with Educational Testing Service in Princeton for 20 years.Mrs. Burke was extremely patriotic. She loved studying American History and was especially fond of our Founding Fathers, the Constitution, the Liberty Bell and the American Flag. Mrs. Burke was very family oriented and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies and playing bingo in her earlier years. She was also a Notre Dame football fan.She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Burke and grandmother of the late Lance Dye. She is pre-deceased by her loving sisters Evelyn and Florence and brother Thomas, and is survived by her brother George. Mrs. Burke was the loving mother of Joan Dye, John F. (Mary), Frances, Robert (late Barbara), Michael (Karen), David (Dee-Anna), and Daniel (Caryl) Burke.She was the devoted grandmother of 11 and proud great grandmother of 2. She will also be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Antoinette and many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call from 9 until 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Livengrin, 4833 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
