

Christopher D. Jenkins, of Morrisville, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family following a courageous 15 year battle with cancer. He was 44. Born in Bristol, Christopher was a 1986 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School. He has resided in Morrisville for the past 7 years. He worked as an operating engineer with Local #542 for several years before his illness. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed working on and around his home. Christopher was the beloved son of Catherine (nee Brady) Jenkins and the late Charles Jenkins. He was the loving brother of Marlene Conaway and her husband Scott, Charles Jenkins Jr. and his friend Dori and the late Cathleen Jenkins. He will be sadly missed by his cousins Margaret Kirkpatrick and Colleen Fletcher and his life long friend Ed Gehring. Christopher was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Richard and Elmira Zecker, his maternal grandparents Charles and Margaret Brady, his uncle Charles Brady, his aunt Margaret Gratten and his nephew Harry Heffner III. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
