Born in Dubois, PA, Cindy was known for her warm heart and joyful spirit. She cherished life’s simple pleasures and found joy in moments spent with those she loved the most. She shared nearly 57 years with her beloved husband Charles McAnulty.
Cindy had a knack for fun and laughter- whether she was trying her luck at the casino, playing cards with “the girls”, enjoying a few games of bingo, or catching her favorite finds on QVC. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, who could always count on her for a lively game of Monopoly and plenty of hugs and laughter.
Cindy started her working career at ETS, then moved onto be a nurse’s aide at Crestview North nursing home for more than 10 years and retired from Pennsbury School District after being a loved “snack lady”, being a bus aid and custodian at the William Penn middle school.
She and her husband enjoyed 10 years of their retirement at their home in Dushore, Pennsylvania until they returned to Fairless Hills.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles R. McAnulty, parents Arnold and Helen Peterson (nee Schultz) and her brother Ernie Peterson.
She was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Charles McAnulty II (Elizabeth), Jason McAnulty (Tammy) and Melissa McAnulty (Rodney).
She is survived by her beloved grandchildren Nick, Jason, Connor, Leland, and Taylor, all whom she cherished deeply and spoke of with pride and affection.
She is survived by her sister Wendy Peterson of Levittown and her brother Arnold (Linda) Peterson of Fairless Hills. She cherished all her time spent with her sister whose laughter and companionship were among her greatest joys.
Family and friends were the center of Cindy’s world. Her kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for the love she shared and the memories she created that will live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am, followed by the funeral service at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056. Burial will take place at the Emilie United Methodist Church Cemetery, 7300 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA 19055.
