

Claire was born in Hazleton, PA and was a graduate of St. Gabriel’s High School and Hazelton Hospital School of Nursing.
She served her country during the Korean War as a US Navy nurse, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. She worked as an RN in area hospitals during her career.
Claire was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Sr, her son Robert Jr (Bob), grandson Christopher Sheluga, her parents William and Agnes Gallagher, and 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Claire is survived by her 3 daughters Kathleen (George) Angelini, Clare (Kyle) Sheluga and Jackie (Art) Power; her grandchildren Michael (Lauren) Devlin, Erich Sheluga, Veronica Power, Jessica (Ryan) Doyle; 2 great grandchildren Morgan and Ryan Devlin, and many nieces and nephews.
Claire lived a long and meaningful life centered on faith and family.
“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday May 8, 2026 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow beginning at 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe, 2443 Trenton Rd, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020, on May 8, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses be said or prayers offered for Claire.
