

Born in Trenton, Mr. Helms has resided in Bristol Township for the past 60 years. At the age of 17, Clyde began working for U.S Steel's Fairless Works where he remained for 32 years until retiring. In 1975 he started an Electrical Contracting Corporation that is still operating today.
Mr. Helms was a member of the Bristol Moose Lodge #1169, the Elks Lodge #2023 of Fairless Hills and the VFW #5542. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #4215 where he ran the annual Christmas party for special needs children for many years.
Clyde had a great love for music. He enjoyed dancing, playing the guitar and following local bands.
Son of the late Clyde and Myrtle Helms. He was the beloved husband of Barbara for 66 years.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, son Clyde (Cathy) and daughter Cindy Shimkus.
Clyde was preceded in death by daughter Brenda Simmons, son Blaine Helms, son-in-law Tom Shimkus and sisters Marion, Margaret and Ida.
He was the devoted grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 10. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. He will always be missed and loved by all.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research.
