Craig was born in Abington, PA, to parents, Dale Clifford Blomberg and Sally Diane Blomberg (nee Seltzer). After graduating from Pennsbury High School in 1986, he went on to establish a career in steel industry manufacturing.
A diehard Steelers and Penn State football fan, Craig enjoyed fishing and staying fit with weightlifting. He loved spending time at his beach house and especially enjoyed watching his niece compete in track and field, as well as traveling together with his sister and niece. Jaime and Svanna happily remember their trips with Craig to Providence, RI; and State College, PA, as well as trips to Quebec and Arizona State University he and his sister took in their youths.
Anyone who has ever met Craig will remember how he lit up every room with his incredible sense of humor. A doting uncle, he enjoyed taking his niece on various fishing trips, followed by going to V+S Pizza together. Not only was he a brother to sister, Jaime, he was her best friend, especially after the passing of their brother, Adam. They surrounded their visits by exchanging songs they played on speakers while hanging around a fire that he carefully crafted or floating around the pool. Their visits were centered around songs that encapsulated memories they had shared together since their childhood. As best man in his sister's wedding, family and friends will remember the incredible speech he delivered in honor of his two best friends being brought together before God. He will be sorely missed by friends and family. “See you on the other side,” as he would often say.
Craig was preceded in death by father, Dale Clifford Blomberg, and brother, Adam Dawson Blomberg.
He is survived by mother Sally Diane Blomberg (nee Seltzer), sister Jaime Jensen Strandberg (nee Blomberg), brother-in-law Roy David Strandberg, and niece Svanna Jensen Strandberg.
