

She was born in Warren County, Ohio, daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Swartz) Wirsch. Beloved wife of Joseph E. Hartz, whom she married on October 20, 1951. Mother to Martina Young (Eric), Cary, NC, Robert Hartz (Cindy), Cincinnati, OH, Julie Hartz-Callahan (Carol), Goldsboro, NC and Dianna Mastropietro (Anthony) Levittown, PA. and the late Karen Ann Hartz. She is survived by nine grandchildren, Amanda Mastropolo, Kristina Killian, Matthew Young, Rebecca Young, Brian Hartz, Paul Cinquina, Cynthianna Mastropietro, Samuel Mastropietro and Ethan Mastropietro. and 11 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister Elaine Horvat and a great number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother George Wirsch.
Cynthia was a 1951 graduate of Lebanon High School and a graduate of Cincinnati Technical College and worked as a Dietetic Technician for a number of years before retiring.
In her younger days she loved to cook, bake and sew. She had the gift of hospitality, which she passed along to all of her children. An avid reader, Cynthia frequented the Lebanon Public Library after retirement in order to maintain her steady supply of books, sometimes finishing one per day. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Alter Society (Lebanon, OH), and St. Philip the Apostle Seniors (Morrow OH) and valued the power of prayer in her life.
Funeral services have not yet been determined. The family will notify loved ones when funeral services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 944 US 22, Morrow, OH 45152 or St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 20 Desales Ave., Lebanon, OH 45036.
