Cynthia Matthews

Born in Uniontown, PA, daughter of the late Clara (Santicchia) and John Medve, Mrs. Matthews has been a resident of Morrisville for the past 46 years.

Until her retirement at age 66, Mrs. Matthews was employed as a Bakery Clerk for the former Fairless Hills Pathmark for 35 years. She had enjoyed being a homemaker while her children were young.

Mrs. Matthews liked to read, enjoyed watching butterflies and sitting by the firepit in her backyard.

Beloved wife of 52 years to Joseph W. Jr., Mrs. Matthews is the loving mother of Joseph W. III (Tracey) and John D. (Pamela); devoted grandmother of Ashley, Joseph IV, John Jr. and Natalie; and proud great grandmother of Quinn.

She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Pamela Riley (Michael); nieces, Angela and Kristen; nephew, Jason; and great nephews Michael, Aidan and Schuyler.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 12:00 until 1:00 pm at the James J. Doughert Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
