Born in Dodge City, Kansas to the late Peter and Corinne Bogerd, she was a long-time area resident.
Darla was an avid gardener, who loved her flowers and loved to cook. Her yard is a testament to that love and to her.
Predeceased by her parents and daughter, Stacey L. Mace, Darla is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Joseph; her children, Shelly McCann (George) of Labelle, FL, Scott Brown of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and Jamie Brown of Scott City, Kansas; her granddaughter, Paige Hughes and her husband, Patrick of Wilmington, Vermont; her two great grandchildren, Pierce and Pemi; her sister, Sharon Strecker of Wichita, Kansas; her stepson, Jason Craner and his son, Liam, of Levittown, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews in Kansas; her sisters-in-law, Joan Peters and her daughter, Jackie, of Levittown, and Patricia Bozarth of Riverside, NJ. She will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Burial will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
