He was born in Doylestown to William Gillman and Helen (Worthington) Gillman. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Charlotte Serventi Gillman.
Beloved father of Angela (Gillman) Wolset of Delaware, David and his wife Jennifer, Jonathan, and Jason and his wife Elizabeth all of Levittown. Also, survived by his grandchildren; Patrick, Dean, Maria, Aubrey and Veronica, as well as two sisters: Sherry (Carl) Kreitz and Marjie (John) Hogan as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dave graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School class of 71.He was a machinist and mechanic by trade but his passion was music. Dave was an accomplished bass player and songwriter. He played with many well know Country music artists as well as several local bands including Rocky Top, Tulsa, Midnight Riders, Point Blank, and many others.
Dave was a past President and coach at Levittown American Athletic Association and a soccer coach for St. Joseph the Worker Parish. He enjoyed game nights and spending time with his close friends Mark, Joann, Jack, Sue and Kate. Dave also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and small engine repair.
His quick wit and sharp sense of humor will be missed by all.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 6 from 5-7pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road Levittown, and a Mass in his honor will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills, at 9:30am on Wednesday December 7th.
