Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she had been a resident of Lower Bucks County for over 50 years. She was a devoted member of Queen of the Universe Church.
Diane enjoyed spending time with her family in Wildwood, especially relaxing on the beach and strolling the lively boardwalk. Anyone who knew Diane knew the beautiful and kind heart she exuded. She spoke with sincerity, genuinely cared for others, and made everyone feel special.
She was the biggest cheerleader for her four grandchildren, faithfully attending their sporting events and always being found along a field sideline or in the hockey rink bleachers. Diane loved taking pictures with them, always with a fresh pout of lipstick on and would quickly say, “Send it to me,” so she could proudly share the photos with her friends.
Diane also enjoyed shopping and could often be found browsing at Boscovs or enjoying lunch at Panera Bread or Chick-fil-A
Her strong Catholic faith and love for her Lord and Savior guided her throughout her life and brought her comfort after the loss of her husband, John, eight years ago. Through her faith, Diane formed many cherished friendships at Queen of the Universe Church, St. Francis Cabrini Church, and the W.I.N.G.S. widows group. She treasured the fellowship, special events, and support these friendships brought to both her and her family.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, John, Diane is survived by her beloved children, Michael McColgan (Leah Ann) and Jennifer Mooney (Bill); her cherished grandsons, Ryan and Danny McColgan, and Liam and Sean Mooney; her sister, Peggy Tolkacz (Scott); her brothers, Paul and David Serano; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
