Dorothy R. McManus, 86, of 3 Nater St., Ashland, passed away Tuesday morning at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs. Born in Ashland, Oct. 10, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Edna Neidlinger. She was a sewing machine operator at Ashland Shirt Factory until she retired. She was a member of Christ Independent Church, Lavelle, where she had previously served as a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1979; sisters, Jennie, Alma and Elizabeth; a brother, Robert. Surviving are a son, Raymond McManus, Ashland; two daughters, Ann McManus, Bethpage, Tenn., and Dottie Renihan, Keene, Calif.; a sister, Arlene Magdeberg, Ashland; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
