Dorothy E. Zelonka

Born and raised in East Vandergrift, PA, she was the daughter of the late Emma (Putirka) and Paul Lopata. She was a graduate of Vandergrift High School.

She was the beloved wife of 68 years of the late Joseph E. Zelonka and a loving mother to Stephen (Joan), Diane Perna (Bruno), Eric (Margo) and Karen Smith (Jack). She was a devoted grandmother of six grandchildren, Casey, Rory, Johncarlo (Jenn), Ryan (Laura), Jennifer (Matt) and Nicole and four great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Austin, Jace, and Jaxson. Dorothy was the eldest of 6. She is the sister of James and Marianne Oresky (Pete), and sister-in-law of Patricia and Marcia. She was predeceased by her brothers Paul and his wife, Dolores, Andrew and Edward; and her sister-in-law, Marianne. She was a wonderful aunt and great aunt to several nieces and nephews, Dorothy and Joe moved to Levittown in 1955 where she raised her children. She enjoyed cooking and shopping and liked watching sports and listening to music from the 50's and 60's. Most importantly she loved her family. She had a strong faith and attended Saint Michael the Archangel Church for over 60 years.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 9:00 until 10:00 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
