
E. Ralph Taylor Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in Langhorne, PA on February 16, 2025 at the age of 86. A lifelong resident of Levittown, Ralph was known for his hardworking spirit, passion for the outdoors, and dedication to his family.
Ralph was a graduate of Neshaminy High School, Class of 1957. He built a successful career as an electrician in the construction industry, where his skill and dedication were widely respected.
In addition to his professional achievements, Ralph served in the United States Army Reserve, demonstrating his commitment to his country.
Ralph had a deep love for the outdoors and hands-on hobbies. He was a true outdoorsman. Born on a chicken farm, he developed a lifelong love of gardening, hunting, and trap shooting. He was always working with his hands. After retirement, Ralph became a woodworker and wine maker. He always kept a garden and took pride in passing down this passion to his grandchildren. They would help him tend to the garden by picking corn, beans, and pumpkins throughout the seasons. In addition, he taught them the importance of firearm safety and instructed many classes throughout the years.
Ralph’s legacy is one of dedication, love, and a life well-lived. He was a man who showed his love by his actions. Ralph was always ready to help or give advice when asked. He would go out of his way to help anyone, especially his children and grandchildren. Ralph will be missed by all who knew him.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Constance E. Taylor (nee Kellett); his children Caffie Degner, Suann Sims (Rob), and Ralph Taylor III (Jamie); his grandchildren: Troy (Brooke), Caitlyn, Jenna, Peter (Maddie), Helena, and Bryn; his siblings Louise Collums, Kay Schaffer, and Pat Taylor; his many nieces and nephews; and his pet dog Pebbles.
Ralph is predeceased by his son-in-law Hank Degner; his parents E. Ralph Taylor Sr. and Helen Taylor (nee Schram); his sister Jane Thompson; and his brothers-in-law Rod Thompson, Clinton Collums and Russell Schaffer.
Services for Ralph will be held privately.
