

Edward Joseph “Eddy” Bowman, age 77, passed away on April 1, 2026 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was a longtime resident of Fairless Hills, PA. Eddy lived a life defined by devotion to his family, service to his country, and a deep love for his community.
Born on to the late Edward and Anna Bowman, he attended St. Mark’s Elementary, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1967. He then continued his education at the Bucks County Technical School.
Eddy proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1969 as part of the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company. A Vietnam veteran, he carried the values of honor, courage, and commitment with him throughout his life, always embodying the spirit of Semper Fi.
He was a hardworking and dedicated man whose career included time with U.S. Steel, St. Ann’s, Conwell-Egan Catholic High School, and Pat Deon’s Beverages. No matter where he worked, Edward was known for his honesty, loyalty, and strong work ethic.
A devoted family man, Eddy found joy in life’s simple but meaningful moments—camping trips, family gatherings, and especially Christmastime, when his model trains brought magic and tradition to the holiday season.
He had a lifelong passion for baseball and dedicated an incredible 48 years to coaching Little League in Fairless Hills. He was a mentor, role model, and friend to generations of young athletes, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. Eddy was a wonderful Little League coach and loved by many. He was also an active member of the Fallsington American Legion and a proud supporter of his community.
Eddy also enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending traditions like Phillies Opening Day, the Veterans Day Event at IHM in Delaware, and Knoebel’s family reunions. Known for his humor, kindness, and generous spirit, Eddy truly lit up a room.
Eddy was the beloved husband of Sandy, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving father to Denise Trigo (Joe) and Nicole Bowman Irani (Zarir), and a proud grandfather to Riley and Logan Trigo, and Kirah, Keagan, and Keelin Irani. He is also survived by his sisters: Cathy Hogarth (Jack), Karen Bonner (Sean), Debbie Romanek (Charlie); his in-laws: Ray Molnar, Karen Masters Bowman, Susan Bowman, and Jim and Jacy Webster; many nieces and nephews; and the family pet dog Mickey.
He is now reunited with his parents Edward Bowman and Anna Bowman (nee Kelly), and his siblings: Patricia McCarthy, Diane Molnar, Jimmy Bowman, and Rich Bowman.
Eddy will be remembered for his strength, his laughter, and his unwavering dedication to those around him. As he often said, “There’s no crying in baseball".
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on April 14, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. In honor of Eddy’s love for baseball and the Philadelphia Phillies, guests are warmly encouraged to wear Phillies attire if they wish. His burial with Full Military Honors will immediately follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
